Automatic Screw Machining Services

M.B. Sturgis Inc. currently has 45 New Britain 6 & 8 spindle automatic screw machines, some with automatic bar loaders. Our second operation department has over 35 machines from SNOW drilling and tapping machines to horizontal milling machines. All of our equipment is maintained by a large inventory of spare parts and a complete fabrication, welding & repair department.

Cleaning & Degreasing

Each of the precision screw machine parts that is produced is thoroughly cleaned and degreased. We clean each part by either using an aqueous system or our N.E.S.H.A.P. approved Dextrex Vibratory Vapor Degreasing System. Then all of the parts are bulk packaged in 12" x 12" x 6" cardboard cartons. Thermal transfer barcode labels are applied on all bulk cartons.

Inspection & Quality Control

We use state of the art automated inspection equipment including a Keyence Image Dimension Measurement System, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and Optical Comparators. By using this type of technology we can inspect a precision screw machined part to make sure every aspect of that finished product meets your exact specifications.
